Microblogging is a form of multimedia blogging that allows users to send brief text updates or micromedia such as photos or audio clips and publish them, either to be viewed by anyone or by a restricted group which can be chosen by the user. These messages can be submitted by a variety of means, including text messaging, instant messaging, email, digital audio or the web.
As one of our showcase projects we have developed Babblr, the German microblog.
But Babblr is not just another microblog, it heavily combines social networking features and emphasizes on friendship and the process of meeting new people.
So far Babblr currently serves 25.000 page requests per month and an average time on site of 8 minutes per user.
We already consider Babblr a success and we will continue to put our effort into this constantly evolving project.
